I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Community Health and Health Behavior at the University at Buffalo School of Public Health and Health Professions. My primary research areas include (1) interdependence, the need to belong, and symbolic social bonds; (2) the influence of close relationship functioning on substance use; (3) the influence of substance use on close relationship functioning and intimate partner aggression; and (4) ambulatory assessment (e.g., daily diary, EMA, wearables) research methods.
